Alan is busy in various California video and audio studios nearing the end of filming his newest project with his partner in crime, Julian Colbeck, called The Art And Science Of Sound Recording. The DVD looks at the whole process of recording - from pre-production, gear, arrangements, tracking, mixing, and more – from the twin perspectives of someone who was ‘there then’ (multi-million dollar recording studios and budgets the size of small European countries) and is still ‘here now’ (sophisticated computer-based environments you can set up in your living room).With just a few weeks of editing, narration and final touches to be completed, the 3-DVD set is due for release in mid summer 2009.
