UPDATE October 28, 2011

Alan writes:

I have at last got myself into the 21st century with Facebook and Twitter. See the links below. It has to be said however, that most of the content is coming from others!

The current band is Guy Erez (Bass), Danny Thompson (Drums), Manny Focarazzo (Keyboards), Alastair Greene (Guitar), P.J. Olsson (Vocals) and Todd Cooper on Sax and Vocals. In the first half of 2011, we played in Las Vegas, Mexico City, Buenos Aires and Cordoba (Argentina) and Santago, Chile. While I was in Argentina we held a "Masterclass Training Session" at the University Of Buenos Aires. It was an excellent occasion and we recorded a song by a local band. In Mexico, we established a great new relationship with The Hermes Music Foundation who are already actively distributing ASSR for the benefit of the foundation. Later in 2011 we went to Europe for 3 shows - Spain, Gibraltar and Switzerland. Gibraltar is like a home from home - Pounds as currency, and pubs with crap food! A one off in Bogota, Columbia ended up being one of the best shows ever after a major technical hitch forced us to leave the stage after only a matter of seconds from the show's opening.

Many of you have written to ask about The Art And Science Of Sound Recording (ASSR for short) video series. It's available both as a physical 3-DVD set and as a series of downloads or streams. Just click in the box above for details or go to www.artandscienceofsound.com. The song recorded specially for the series All Our Yesterdays is available on iTunes and other download sites. You can download it by clicking above. It's one of those rare occasions when I have sung a lead vocal. Look out for another song we hope to release soon Do You Live At All which was recorded at another ASSR Masterclass Training session in Los Angeles attended by musicians and engineers from all over the USA in September.

A local fundraiser in what is now my home town - Santa Barbara, on November 12 and a show in Mexico on December 2 in Merida, Mexico will be the last of the activities for this year.

If it's not too early, I wish you all Happy Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year.

My best wishes to you all,

Alan
