My Left Foot (or is it the other left foot?)

Alan suffered a freak accident on tour this month. While springing into action to rescue Lisa from a marauding gorilla attack (OK, while getting up out of a chair in a hotel room) Alan fell on – and broke – his left ankle. Says Alan, “You know how sometimes you get pins and needles in your leg and it goes completely numb? – well it just gave way below me as I took a step, and down I went”.

Not only did the show go on (the trouper) that night in Milwaukee, Alan did not even realize he’d broken the bone until three days later when his lower leg had by then swollen to the size of a small wine barrel. We’re sure all fans will want to wish Alan a very speedy recovery. BTW he’s off the Vicodin now – which he wasn’t when this picture was taken!
