There’s some interesting new reading material around containing Parsonified material. The incredible “Recording The Beatles” book (weight 0.3 tons) is an amazingly well researched book by Kevin Ryan and Brian Kehew. (See recordingthebeatles.com). As well as every fact and figure about the studios and equipment used to record the Fab 4, it offers some rare insights into Alan’s early days at Abbey Road along with some rare photos - well they are rare now – but we’ll be publishing them here on the site very soon. Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick has come out with another book about the Beatles in which Alan gets a positive mention or two. It’s called Here, There and Everywhere: My Life Recording the Music of the Beatles. There’s also an interview with Alan in this month’s Bunty Magazine (surely shome mishtake…).
